About Me
Dace Caldwell Martinez first became passionate about writing while growing up in a small town surrounded by dirt roads, wheat fields, and magical sunsets. After graduating from Oklahoma State University, she taught and coached basketball, cross-country, and track at her junior high and high school alma mater. She then attended law school at the University of Oklahoma.
In 2006, Dace moved to Washington, D.C. to practice law at a nationally-recognized firm where she co-authored briefs before numerous courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court. During that time, she also appeared as a legal commentator for a major news outlet.
Dace stepped away from the legal profession when her first child was born in 2013. After years of writing legal briefs and academic pieces, she couldn’t be more thrilled to be reading and writing what she loves.

When not writing, Dace enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She is a former Ironman triathlete and a current middling golfer.
